On September 7th, everyone is awaiting the release date for the (new) iPhone 14. Rumors HAVE been circulating about a solid black screen between two camera cutouts and a facial recognition system. A clip that was recently leaked proves this theory when it displays an actual iPhone 14 unit of some sort, which switches to a solid black screen when the two camera cutouts are near each other.
The notch looks like a good place for additional notifications. The status icon shows when an app is using the mic or camera.
According to recent rumors, Apple will use a new cutout and redesign the status bar exclusively for the iPhone 14. Quite a few renders have surfaced which suggest Cupertino may go back to a more classic design. One that includes battery info (percentage and icon) on the far right and location symbol next to that. On the left side – network signal and carrier information. Take these concepts with a pinch of salt though. Additionally, there has been talk of new ultrawide cameras on the Pro versions and 30W rapid charging.
